What's New in 2026
The Hague Apostille Convention keeps growing. Algeria began accepting apostilles on July 9, 2026, and Vietnam on September 11, 2026, so documents for both countries no longer need embassy legalization. Thailand has joined as well, but its membership does not take effect until February 28, 2027; until then, Thai-bound documents still need authentication and embassy legalization.
