Why Egypt document legalization is different from an apostille
Most countries we work with — Portugal, Spain, Colombia — are Hague Convention members, so a single
apostille certificate is enough. Egypt is not a Hague Convention member, which means an apostille alone will be
rejected by Egyptian ministries. Instead, your document needs full legalization: authentication at the state level
(when applicable), authentication by the U.S. Department of State, and a final legalization stamp from the
Egyptian Consulate with jurisdiction over the state where your document was issued.
We handle each stage on your behalf reviewing your document, routing it to the correct Secretary of State and
the U.S. Department of State, and hand-delivering it to the Egyptian Consulate for the final stamp.
