Notarized translations and where they are authenticated

A certified translation and an apostille are different things. The certificate of accuracy is the translator’s signed statement about the translation. An apostille authenticates the signature of a notary or public official.

When we notarize a translator’s statement, the notarization is done outside Arizona. The Arizona Secretary of State says documents from other states must be certified by that state’s Secretary of State. We help customers with apostilles and can tell you which office handles yours.
