Apostille Service in North Richland Hills, Texas

Apostille Request Form

North Richland Hills is a Mid-Cities community in northeast Tarrant County, best known locally for NRH2O Family Water Park, Iron Horse Golf Course and a growing list of corporate offices. It is also a college town of sorts: Tarrant County College’s Northeast Campus sits on Harwood Road at the border with Hurst. That mix of students, educators and employees produces a steady demand for documents that will be accepted outside the United States.

Apostille Authentications provides apostille service in North Richland Hills, Texas through the mail and by courier. There is no NRH office; instead, we review each document remotely, help you correct anything the state would reject, and submit the package to the Texas Secretary of State. Use this page to figure out what you need and where to get it.

Transcripts From TCC Northeast and Diplomas From Birdville ISD

TCC Northeast, at 828 Harwood Road, is one of the city’s major employers as well as a gateway campus for students who later transfer or study overseas. Most local children attend Birdville ISD, which runs Richland High School and Birdville High School, while the northernmost part of the city is in Keller ISD. These sources are confirmed by the TCC locations page and the city’s profile on Wikipedia.

Academic records are non-recordable documents in Texas. The Secretary of State requires a signed statement from the issuer, with that signature properly notarized, before it will attach an apostille. Here is the usual sequence:

  1. Contact the registrar (TCC) or the campus records office (Birdville or Keller ISD).
  2. Request an official transcript or diploma copy signed by a school official before a notary.
  3. Confirm the notary’s seal, commission expiration and signature are clear.
  4. Send the notarized original to us, noting the country where it will be used.

Heading Abroad to Teach or Study

Many people from North Richland Hills apply for teaching positions or degree programs in other countries. Those applications tend to request a familiar bundle of documents, though every country and school sets its own list.

DocumentTypical reasonHow it is prepared
Bachelor’s or associate degreeWork visa or teaching license abroadNotarized by the school, then apostilled by Texas
TranscriptUniversity admission or credential evaluationNotarized by the registrar, then apostilled by Texas
FBI background checkVisa or employment screeningApostilled by the U.S. Department of State
Birth certificateResidence permit or dependent visaCertified copy from county or DSHS, then apostilled by Texas

The FBI record follows a different federal path. Our FBI apostille page explains how it works.

Ask the school or employer abroad for its requirements in writing. Some want the apostille on the degree itself, others on a transcript, and a few want both. Some also require a certified translation once the apostille is attached. Knowing this before you contact the registrar avoids ordering the same record twice and keeps your application on schedule.

Work Documents for NRH's Healthcare and Corporate Employees

The city’s 2023 financial report, as summarized publicly, names major employers that include the City of North Richland Hills, Walmart, Birdville ISD, Medical City North Hills, TCC’s Northeast Campus, HealthMarkets, Tyson Foods and XPO. HealthMarkets is headquartered in the city, along with several smaller companies.

Employees in healthcare, insurance and logistics who transfer abroad, or employers who send contracts to foreign partners, typically need some combination of these:

  • Employment verification or reference letters, signed before a notary.
  • Copies of professional licenses with a notarized statement.
  • Powers of attorney allowing someone overseas to act on the signer’s behalf.
  • Corporate resolutions or agreements for foreign subsidiaries or vendors.

For orders that combine several of these, see our apostille and authentication service. We sort each item into the right category so nothing in the packet holds up the rest.

Getting Certified Copies in Northeast Tarrant County

North Richland Hills lies entirely in Tarrant County. Vital and court records therefore come from Tarrant County offices or the state.

  • Gary Fickes Northeast Subcourthouse (County Clerk vital records): 645 Grapevine Hwy, Suite 120, Hurst, TX 76054. This is the closest county counter to NRH.
  • J.D. Johnson Northwest Subcourthouse (County Clerk vital records): 6713 Telephone Road, Suite 202, Lake Worth, TX 76135.
  • Family Law Center (District Clerk, divorce and family orders): 200 E. Weatherford, 3rd Floor, Fort Worth, TX 76196; 817-884-1265.
  • Tom Vandergriff Civil Courts Building (District Clerk, civil records): 100 N. Calhoun Street, 2nd Floor, Fort Worth, TX 76196; 817-884-1574.

The county lists 817-884-1550 and weekday hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for all of its vital records locations, though it does not say which services each site provides. District Clerk details are on its locations page. You can also order birth and death certificates from Texas Vital Statistics; choose Apostille as the reason, per the DSHS instructions.

Avoiding Rejected Submissions

The state returns documents that do not meet its rules, which can cost weeks. These are the problems we screen for most often:

  • Old certified copies. Recordable documents such as birth or marriage records must be less than five years old.
  • Notarized photocopies of public records. A notary cannot certify a copy of a birth certificate or court decree.
  • Incomplete notarial certificates. Missing seals, venue or commission dates are common on school letters.
  • Wrong authority. Federal documents go to the U.S. Department of State, not Austin.
  • Wrong process for the country. The UAE, Qatar and Kuwait need embassy legalization, not an apostille.

State Process and Our Fees

All Texas apostilles are issued by the Authentications Unit of the Texas Secretary of State, 400 West 15th Street, Austin, TX 78701. Each request travels with Form 2102. The state charges $15 per document. Mailed requests can take up to two weeks after they arrive, while in-person requests are completed the same day, with walk-in service on Monday and Friday and appointments Tuesday through Thursday.

Our fee is $195 per document, plus the $15 state charge. Since the state controls processing, we do not promise a specific turnaround. Details are on our pricing page.
